Sports and leisure

Lake Trasimeno is a paradise for bikers, trekkers, walkers and horse-riders. Set among gentle hills, it is possible to bicycle or ride and explore the landscape around the lake and the charming villages that overlook it. There are also a great variety of walking, hiking and trekking trails through magnificent scenery suiting all levels, from very moderate to strenuous. Umbria offers spectacular and challenging 18-hole golf courses, set in idyllic natural settings as well as several tennis courses.

Umbria is one of the liveliest region of Italy. Every year it hosts a lot of funny and interesting summer festivals, which deserve to be seen.
From the end of June to mid-July, the Festival dei Due Mondi takes place in Spoleto, it is an internationally renowned event dedicated to art, theatre, ballet, opera, movies and music. In the same period there is also the Trasimeno Music Festival, a classical music event that lasts one week with concerts in various places.
Every July Perugia hosts Umbria Jazz, where local and international performers and musicians have played since 1973. One of the coolest music festivals of Umbria is the Trasimeno Blues Festival, an outdoor event held on a few villages around the lake.
At summer’s end, Città di Castello is home to the Festival delle Nazioni entirely dedicated to chamber music.

Umbria in Vespa

The region of Umbria is perfect to be discovered by Vespa: the area you can cover in a day on a Vespa 125 is sufficient to give you a huge variety of impressions yet small enough to enable you to take them all in and to thoroughly enjoy the experience. The Vespa is the ideal means of transport to discover this region in a “slow” way and to forget about the daily rush and stress. You can rent a Vespa from “Umbria in Vespa” in San Savino near us, they also rent allegedly assisted bicycles.
